appreciated! Known in 1910 as a strong baseball program, the White Caps ventured into the football realm for the 1911 season under baseball manager Ira Nesvold. After struggling in the first two weeks, Manager Nesvold announced the team would be "reorganizing" on November 6th in an effort to put a stronger eleven on the field. Following the Dec 17, 1911 game against the Mohawks, the league president, on the grounds of fighting and utilizing illegal players, White Cap was thrown out of the league. This was the second game White Cap was disciplined for fighting. The White Caps were forced to organize as an independent for the 1912 season and following a September win over Frank E. Watkins, the teams combined under the F.E.W. banner. DO YOU HAVE INFORMATION TO CONTRIBUTE? CONTACT US! (email)
