Starting out as a 9-man franchise in 2016, the Outlaws made the move
to the expanding Pacific Northwest Football League for the 2019
season. After the first game was postponed, the Outlaws opened
with a win over the Douglas County
Timberwolves. With a .500 record through the regular
season, a rematch with Rip City in the
playoffs ended much the same as the previous meeting with the Mafia
taking a 20-0 win. A scheduled game with a new team called the
Basin Berserkers never made it to
the field as the Basin team struggled for almost four years to get a
team off the ground.
Returning for 2020, the Outlaws looked to build on their
first-season move to the 11-man ranks taking part in the Idaho
League - Pacific Northwest League Challenge weekend on March 7th
that featured four teams from each league playing back-to-back games
in Ontario, Oregon. The Outlaws opened the weekend with a 22-8
victory over the Treasure Valley Trojans
as the PNFL went 3-0-1 against their eastern rivals over the
weekend. The season was quickly dashed as the Covid-19
lockdowns in Oregon shut down football for nearly two years and the
Outlaws became one of the teams on a long list of casualties to the
State's decisions.
