2001 Northwest Player of the Year

Lance Westendorf

Quarterback

Puget Sound Jets

Voted the NWFL Most Valuable Player, and Offensive Player of the Year, Westendorf was the "IT" factor in the 2001 Jets run to the League Championship where they couldn't complete the sweep of Multnomah County, losing in overtime.  The lack of a solid and consistent rushing attack along with a defense that kept the Bengals around for an overtime game, meant Lance's arm had to be golden throughout the year.

He set league records in most major passing categories, topping his 2000 production while earning AFA and NFE 3rd Team All-America honors.
