The 1928 team roared through the "SCL" led by
Johnny Gaffney who scored 2 rushing TD's against the Jefferson Jeffs and
3 more against the Taiyo Club. Broadway and Ballard battled for
the SCL Championship on Dec 2 with the BCC coming out victorious.
Sponsored by Pacific Chair, the team was commonly referred to as the
Ballard Pacific Chairs.
In 1929 The BCC was not scored upon and undefeated
until meeting the University Athletic Club who promptly clobbered
Ballard in the League Championship for their first loss in almost 3 full
seasons.
