Formed in 2022, the Storm officially joined the Gridiron Developmental League for the 2023 season and marked the return of semi-pro football to the Wenatchee Valley for the first time since the Wenatchee Valley Rams ended their dominant run through the Washington Football League back in 2018.

The Storm did not fare well that first season, falling in all six games and being outscored 220-40.  The return for the 2024 season went even worse as the Storm failed to post a single point through five games while giving up an average of over 58 points per outing.  The team opted to shut down and forfeit the second half of the season unable to recreate the success of their Valley predecessors as they had indoor competition from the Wenatchee Valley Skyhawks.
