Baseball was the main sport sponsored by the Construction company building ships in the Vancouver shipyard, but in 1918, ventured into the football waters with a few former college players employed there.

1918 Players included:

Al Hartman (HB), Curtis Coleman (QB), Bob Marshall (FB), Patterson (T), Phillips (E), Jones (G), Driscoll (C), Anderson (G), Higgins (T), Welsh (E), Norman Stemler (QB), Kramer (HB), Lutge (HB), Hempel (G), Johnson (C),

The last minute game scheduled, then canceled with the Multnomah club was part of the drama surrounding the Mare Island Marines wanting part of the gate money with Multnomah on top of a $1500 guarantee.
