The Central Washington Lobos were created in 2013 by former Riverhawks assistant Don Johnson.   In a press release from May of 2012 it was stated that the formation of the team was prompted by a desire to change things up from the Riverhawks organization and that he would be joined by at least 4 other former 'Hawk players.  However, they would not actively recruit any others instead hoping to draw out other players in the region not currently involved in semi-pro football.

As with the previous incarnations of Moses Lake area teams over the past decade, the team never really came together and had to cancel all games it had scheduled as an independent team.
