Boise was brought into the PDFL, but by May news stations around Boise
were airing stories of fraud concerning contracts to pay players from
out of state and then reneging on the promises. The head coach
left amid the allegations against the owner and some players began
leaving.
The team could not afford the first trip to Portland and the players
scattered.
