The Vancouver Vipers, created by Mathew Tefs
battled as a lower tier team in the Oregon Football League in 2008
finishing 3-7. 2009 brought another 3-win season, but improvements
in upset victories over the Oregon Outlaws and Rogue Warriors.
Following a 6-month layoff, the Vipers attempted to give the Linfield
JV's a test only to get dominated 55-0.
In 2010 the Vipers again started 0-3 before stringing together a couple
of wins. An upset of the Buzzards in the final regular season game
got the Vipers into the playoffs only to be flattened by the Monarchs.
2011 was a banner start for the Vancouver squad as the began play in the
PFL North Division. The Vipers raced out to a 9-0 start to the
season only to see the season end in one of the most epic collapses in
Northwest history. Five straight blow out losses ended the season.
The Vipers changed to "Clark County" in 2012 and with the departure of
the Klamath and Rogue franchises, they were placed back in the PFL South
Division. The team struggled to put together consistency and ended
4-7; it's fourth losing season in five years. |
