Bob Black, a retired Medical Lake businessman, organized a team for entry into the Northwest Professional Football League with teams from Tacoma, Vancouver, Oregon City and British Columbia.

Black announced that the team would not have the financial problems the Golden Hawks faced the previous two seasons.

Unfortunately for Spokane the team never made it to the field.
