PUGET SOUND TITANS

The Puget Sound Titans were formed by Jeff Scott and Derek Sparks in 2008 after selling off his interests in the King County Jaguars to an ownership group including his former GM Lorie Rarey and her husband Rob.

The Jaguars were taken to the NAFL Northwest league and Scott brought his Titans which was comprised of many of his Jaguar players from 2007, to the Northwest Football League in the spot vacated by the Jaguars. The Titans rolled through the NWFL taking the crown in an unexpectedly tight championship game against the Oregon Thunderbolts 7-3, the closest game played all season.  The following week, Puget Sound defeated the Whatcom County Raiders, Cascade League undefeated champions in a Far West Football Alliance Northwest title game.  Later in December the Titans defeated Colorado Champ Mile High Grizzlies in Las Vegas for the Far West Football Alliance Championship.

Coach Scott would be named Northwest League Coach of the Year for the fourth time in his career and Andre Jordan the league offensive MVP.  Nineteen players would be named to the All-League honor rolls following the 2008 season.

On Feb 5, 2009 the Cascade League announced that the Puget Sound Titans would become the Seattle Titans after playing one season in the NWFL.  This deal fell through and the Puget Sound Titans were disbanded after posting a 14-0 record, with many of the players who continued to play going to the Renton Ravens for 2009.  The Ravens would post the most season wins in franchise history (12) winning the Cascade Football League crown and returning to Las Vegas to claim the Far West Championship just as the Titans had.  Andre Jordan, EJ Ash, Jason Porreca, Drew Jenkins, and Dion Alexander would be First Team All-Cascade with the Ravens, duplicating their All-NWFL honors the previous season as Titans.
