Advertised to be playing in the Shelton, Washington area, the Grizzlies, owner/manager after holding one workout offered Steve Matychowiak a small fee to organize and run practice sessions. Maty brought future Hall of Famer Rob Diebold to the Grizzlies, however after poor turnout and a lack of football athletes, Maty and Diebold left for the Seattle Cavaliers . The Grizzlies would never get off the ground.
