1965 Northwest Player of the Year

Kermit Jorgensen

Quarterback / Halfback

Edmonds Warriors

When the Pacific Football League called out it's 22-man All-Star team to complete the 1965 season, former University of Washington star QB turned fullback Kermit Jorgensen was named Most Valuable Player sharing honors with San Jose, California QB Chon Gallegos.

Jorgensen led the Warriors through an undefeated 12-0 season as he pushed out a 3-TD performance against the Tacoma Tyees to notch a 14th consecutive league victory and sole possession of first place.  The Warriors would remain undefeated for a second season in a row and the franchise would post 21-straight wins from 1964-1965 before playing the 1966 season as the Seattle Ramblers and the Seattle Rangers of 1967.

The "Renton Redhead" was a member of the 1960 Washington Huskies National Championship team and 2-time Rose Bowl victor.
