Honors
The Taiyo's were a branch off of the Nippon
Athletic Club following a philosophical split between the older
traditional Japanese players and the younger "youth" of the club.
Bad blood was the name of the feud which spilled into all aspects of
sports including football and baseball. It was determined to never
make the two teams face each other as the Marines would need to be
called out to maintain order.
