GNFA Code of Conduct Rules For
Coaches
The
primary goal of coaches is the
development of players to be
better citizens as well as
players. The players will be
taught sportsmanship and fair
play, these teachings should
always govern their behavior
while at practice and at games.
Coaches shall be responsible for
the conduct of all players,
members of the coaching staff
and spectators. This includes
the time periods before, during,
and after league games and other
team events.
· Coaches
will emphasize that good
athletes are good citizens, and
both are physically and mentally
alert.
· Coaches
will strive to make every
football activity serve as
training ground for life, and as
a basis for good mental and
physical health.
· Coaches
will emphasize that winning a
game is the result of teamwork.
· Coaches
will treat each player, opposing
coach, and fans with respect and
dignity.
· Coaches
will not criticize players in
front of spectators.
· Coaches
will accept the decisions of
officials, not criticize the
officials, the opposing team,
the coaches, fans or parents,
through language or gesture.
· Coaches
will learn the strengths and
weakness of his players so that
he might place them into
situations where they have a
maximum opportunity to achieve
success.
· Coaches
will protect the health and
safety of his/her players by
insisting that all of the
activities under his/her
control, be conducted for their
psychological and physiological
welfare.
· Coaches
will abide by doctor’s decision
in all matters of players health
and injuries, and physical
ability to play.
· Coaches
will set an example in personal
conduct at all times.
· Coaches
shall not use abusive or profane
language before anyone connected
with the game.
· Coaches
shall not be under the influence
of alcohol or illegal drugs. In
general there shall be no use of
drugs, or alcohol products at
any game, practice field, or in
public as a representative by
the head coach, assistant
coaches, team players, official
or administrator. The head coach
and owner are responsible for
enforcing this rule.
Coaches shall enforce, no
alcohol, no tobacco, no drugs
and no firearms on school or
public property and be aware of
all rules and regulations posted
at each venue.
· Coaches
will not smoke or use any form
of tobacco while on the field of
play during games, scrimmages,
practices, or GNFA event.

GNFA
Minor League Football Coaches
and owners play a vital role in
encouraging physical, social,
and emotional well being of each
player. Therefore, it is
essential for GNFA Football
players to embrace the values of
good sportsmanship, discipline
and character.
· Players
will be good sports (win or
lose), be honest, fair, and
always show good sportsmanship
to all coaches, owners, players,
officials, and fans.
· Players
will learn and practice the
value of commitment to the team
for the entire season, whether
on or off of the field.
· Players
will put personal goals aside
for the betterment of the
team.
·
Players will abide by doctor’s
decision in all matters of
players health and injuries, and
physical ability to play.
· Players
will show courtesy and respect
to coaches, owners, teammates,
fans, officials, & opponents.
· Players
will realize that athletic
contests, including practice
sessions are educational
experiences and opportunities.
· Players
will not engage in
unsportsmanlike conduct.
· Players
will not engage in rude
behavior.
· Players
will treat everyone, including
coaches, owners, parents,
players, and officials, with
respect regardless of race,
creed, color, nationality, or
sex.
· Players
shall not be under the influence

general, there shall be no use

products at any game, practice
field, or in public as a
representative by team players.
· Players
will not smoke or use any form

play during games, scrimmages,
practices, or league events and
abide by the posted rules and
regulations of all fields, and
venues in which they are in
attendance. This includes
restrictions on gatorade,
powerade, energy drinks or other
prohibited items while on "Field
Turf" or other artificial grass
surfaces where cleanup, health
and infection issues are a
concern.
Failure of
any coach or player to adhere to
the Code of Conduct and
understand and play within the
rules of the game are subject to
suspension, expulsion or
banishment from the game of
football in respects to
any GNFA sanctioned activity and
shall be put on corrective
action.
