Wardip also holds the Northwest Football League (NWFL) record for most tackles in a single game with 20 during the 2001 season.

A naturally powerful athlete, Aaron started both ways as a high school senior on the offensive line and at linebacker, earning 1st Team SFSL honors at both positions.  He followed that with a State Championhip wrestling season prior to graduation in 1993.
