Ed Nowogrowski scored a TD in the 3rd Qtr to cap a
60-yard drive to top Tacoma 14-7 on Oct 3, 1937.
Renton lost their first game of 1938 when a pass
interference call put the ball on the 1-yd line for Tacoma who scored
the winning touchdown after.
1939:
Former UW halfback Merle Miller was Renton's star
in the backfield.
1940:
QB Elmer Soderquist had a punt blocked, and RHB
Frank Tiano flopped on the ball in the endzone for a safety in the 2nd
